Folks,
During the post tournament chat at Kevin's Memorial Day event, the subject came up of holding an August tournament to compensate for the fact that none of us were going to LW Nationals. Jenny and I have agreed to come up and run it, so Kevin can actually play for once!
This is going to be a Night themed event, representing just over 24 hours in a company's operations, with round 1 taking place at dawn on the first day, round 2 taking place at dusk on the first day, and round 3 taking place at dawn the next day.
So here it is:
The Rat’s Patrol presents Midnight Train to Georgia
Venue: Tower Games (www.thetowergames.com)
Date: August 13th, 2011
Location: 860 Duluth Hwy, Suite 210, Lawrenceville, GA 30043
• $20 Entry Fee includes Pizza for Lunch
• 40 player, 1750 point Late-War qualifier
• Missions will be Night Assault (version 2.1), No Retreat, Dawn Attack.
• Night Assault is the variable dawn break, no objectives until turn 6 version. Mission sheets will be provided.
• Defenders in No Retreat may have the sun set during the game as per Montgomery’s Calm, Clear Brain ability in Blitzkrieg: “On the start of the defender’s turn 3, roll one die with a result of 5+, indicating that night has fallen. If night has not fallen, at the start of the attacker’s next turn, roll two dice with a result of 5+ indicating that night has fallen, and so on”.
• Dawn Attack may be found here: www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=111&art_id=684&kb_cat_id=32
• Army lists including unit history must be submitted to edleland@earthlink.net no later than July 31st, 2011. Army lists must include the following information:
o Player's full name, email address, mailing address and phone number or FoW Player ID #
o Army list being used (For example: US Rifle Company)
o Book or website reference (For example: Turning Tide)
o Army lists will be submitted using the BF Nationals spreadsheet
• No multiple company lists allowed.
• 3 Rounds over 1 day, 2.5 hours per round.
• Players submitting a legal army list on time in the correct format will receive a force specific benefit for the duration of the tournament.
• More Again Lessons From The Front are in effect. Phil’s experimental rule for remote controlled demolition carriers is in effect.
