so heres what went down. . . chris and i are trying this ww2 naval game out and the dice just went crazy . . i myself am not so good with number and thought maybe one of you guys might want to figure it out ( warren thats you ;D ), so i had a cruiser attack at long range with three turrets(3 dice) at one of his cruisers which was a six to hit, 2 of these then hit, to damage i needed 6's again, 1 hit, so i roll to crit the shot, another 6, roll 2D6 on the chart two more sixes, then the affect 6. . . . that = one very dead cruiser. . . .

so great fun but. . . . . What are the odd's of that many sixes in a row?

Sounds like he rolled 10 dice in increments of 3 for hitting, 3 for damage, 2 for a crit shot, 2 for the crit table, 1 for the affect. That makes a total of 11 dice he rolled. From the 11 dice he rolled he rolled 6's as follows, 2 for hits, 1 for damage, 1 for crit, 2 for the crit table, 1 for the affect making a total of 7.

So the odds would look something like this. If he rolled all 6's for every dice roll it would be 1/6*1/6 to the 11th power. If he rolled 7 6's and you didn't take into consideration the rolls that were not 6's it would 1/6*1/6 to the 7th power. Now this is where I get fuzzy but to get the real idea on odds take the 1/6*1/6to the 11th power and divide that by 1/6*1/6 to the 7th power to get the actual odds.

1/6*1/6 to the 7th power is = 1/1679616
1/6*1/6 to the 11th power is = 1/2176782336

2176782336 divided by 1679616 = 1 in 1,296
