I am bringing an American 101st Airborn army.
Anyone else playing Americans?

No one is playing Americans? ???May be sitting this one out.
Only other things I have are Tigers, Stalins and a British company I don't want to paint.

Find a team mate then let the team pick an army. Its not like painting is going to kill you or even playing bare lead will hurt to bad in this thing. Between you and Jubliet you could do Germans
trick in this is to pick a team first army 2nd. You even have enough stuff to field 2 US armies at this points cost so just find some one willing to play with you.

That is a logical way to look at at it.
I have another.
I want to play Airborne.
with Germans = Kill 3 Tigers company breaks, game over.
With Stalins = Kill 4 company breaks game over.
With Brits = Medium armour gets feed into a meat grinder while my whole game consist of throwing artillery templates and letting my rifles sit on an objective.
All sound challenging but not very enjoyable.
As for painting... I don't really want to play them unpainted nor do I have the time to paint them. Best army means far more to me than best general (more modeler than gamer). Right now I could knock out a few platoons of awesome airborne throw in an already finished Rifle platoon and some beautiful C-47's to compliment them before the tournament.
I do have 3000 points of American rifle company but it is completely disassembled other than a few platoons.
Remember I am an American player. 90% of my stuff is American. The only reason for my other army's is to get what Americans don't have, heavy tanks. Crocs, Tigers and Stalins.
The whole point is to enjoy myself and I feel having a competitive army that I want to play is a big part of that. Missing one tournament won't cost me any sleep.
