They were working 1/2 scale Browning .50cal machine gun minatures that came to life in 1983 by a company called Tippman that made functional collectable minature guns. Very few were made because of government interference, then in 1986 the Federal gov banned machine guns without a class 3 permit. That was the final nail in the coffin and the company started making paintball stuff. Yet the company still has parts and will service any of the few that are in the hands of collectors today.
