question on 1750pt build

How do you go about building your army for the weekend? Do you build them on that day when you know your opponent or what stage of the war you are playing, or is it a somewhat free for all where you can build your army from any stage and bring it along? Right now my armies are pretty thin and I can only field specific armies from Stalins onslaught and I'm not sure if I can hit 1750pt as I haven't counted yet. Thanks

build your list from the book of your choice and bring it. We try to avoid the tailor the list mind set of building when you know who your playing.
