Hey guys its Brendan. Sorry i have not been able to come down to HT in the longest time, I have been working and then off to the beautiful country of Ireland for vacation (even if it is the worst July on record for rain).
Anyway i have been able to locate a small group of FOW players near my house and since i have left my Brit Airlanding at home, have just been going to watch. The thing that I was amazed by was the use of Irish platoons and even an Irish company( North Irish Horse). Now i have been allowed two hours on the computer at the library and had to do research on Irish in WW2. Two hours was not able to give me much information other than Irish soldiers did join the British and US forces even as de Valera openly pronounced Ireland as neutral. The thing is that the soldiers did not form all Irish units but rather integrated in with British units instead. The subject has really interested me and if I could find enough information, I would love to create a platoon or more of Irish soldiers.
If anyone has any history on Irish units it would be a big help. Also Warren if you know of any books that might help it would be great if you put them in the bookstore. Thanks guys for all your help.

The Irish Guards would be worth looking up. You can find plenty of info on them in the history of the Guards Armored Division which is located in the book store in the top right hand corner of the home page.
