This is the 1750 list I am looking at.
HQ= 95 SS Panzer platoon 3 panzer IV H's=325 Panzergrenadier platoon= 240 Panzergrenadier platoon= 240 SS Heavy Tank platoon 2 Tigers= 480 SS Panzergrenadier Pioneer platoon= 235 3 FlaK nest bunkers= 135
I will be defending most of the time and the FlaK nest being placed before objectives will help me control where they go. Either put them where I want or face the fire of multiple ROF 6 bunkers.
I have 2 Tigers which are great for killing just about anything and equaly good at parking on a objective and holding it.
I also have 3 Panzers which are a good tank and with the Tigers they can soften the enemy up for an assault.
Thats where the three full size infantry platoon come in. I can give the pioneers flamethrowers which are always useful and the FV Panzergrenadiers are very nasty in the assault with the Victory at any cost rule.
Thoughts?

Those bunkers are open toped so very easy to destroy with direct fire. You also can not be sure you will always defend. The tournament in TN had 13 of 20 armies as infantry so alot of boot infantry was attacking.

Is it a viable list? I have been having a hard time building a list for 3rd SS. I like the Storm Tigers but I think they will be dead in a turn or two. German list are tough after playing allies for so long. I can't bring EVERYTHING.

I stand by my statement. I've won more games and had closer games since swapping to Tigers. 6/1 losses haven't been a regular occurance. The games have been pretty close. I have won as many games with the Tigers as I have with the US tank company but I have only been playing the Tigers for 6 weeks. I have been playing Shermans for 6 months.

You have allot more experience in general now also my friend it isn't just the tanks. I Still dish you 6/1 losses quiet often using trained allied lists. Give yourself credit Richard you have learned a good bit dont just creit it to uber Germans.

How about these? About the best I can do with 3rd. HQ = 95 2 Faust = 20 3 Panther tanks = 640 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 3 Faust = 30 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 2 Faust = 20 Panzer Pioneers = 235 1 Faust = 10 Sturm Tigers = 220 1750 points I don't know how this one would work it is a small army but depending on how I attach my HQ I have the potential to have 2 FV 8 stand platoons with lots of AT backed by Pioneers with flame throwers and some Panthers with Sturm Tiger support. I am concerned the Sturm Tigers will get smoked, The Panthers will get swarmed and the infantry will be out numberd 6 to one. Thoughts? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HQ = 95 4 Panzer IV = 435 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 2 Faust = 20 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 2 Faust = 20 Panzer Pioneers = 235 Sturm Tigers = 220 Nebels = 115 SS Scout Platton = 130 I like this one, decent tank platoon, I have the potencial to attach out my HQ and get FV 8 stand platoons of Grenadiers with some nice AT. Pioneers with flame throwers, Nebs for smoke or to pin and Sturm Tigers to kill. Plus a Scout platoon which can used as Recon or make my platoons even larger which can be very helpful when using the Victory at any cost rule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HQ = 95 3 Panzer IV = 325 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 1 Faust = 10 Panzer Grenadiers = 240 2 Faust = 20 Panzer Pioneers = 235 1 Faust = 10 Sturm Tigers = 220 Nebels = 115 Tiger = 240 Same list as above but with a Tiger, may be better able to deal with armour giving long range support and covering the flank. I lose a Panzer IV and scouts but I can also push the Tiger forward taking criticle ground preventing ambushes while providing cover.

Things to keep in mind.
you need 2 ranged AT assests
the 2IC is a free kill why upgrade him?
PF only work in the assault and are range 4 so if you cant drop alot of smoke masses of them are only going to slow someone smart down not stop them
You dont have enough guys to attack without smoke.
ST are going to be a total waste 85% of the time never expect them to be wonderweapons
Panthers re nice but rember they must be protected
FT are nice but again require smoke to do their thing
