I noticed some posts about color/camo/reference and thought that a little guidance here may be of some use. First and foremost if you have not already read it, Achtung Panzer! by the father of modern tank warfare Heinz "Fast Heinz" Guderian is essential reading for armoured warfare tactics. Osprey Publishing also offers several titles on World War Two Infantry Tactics. They have also just released a compilation edition of all of the infantry titles into one book. The HTU should be able to get that in soon as it is a brand new title and well worth looking into for anyone wanting historical accuracy or just for fun reading for knowledge's sake. George Fourty wrote a book, German Tanks of World War Two, that is a good overview of German armour including some info on typical panzer troop strengths both paper and real as well as good photos and technical info. Very useful for force organization charts and general modeling ideas. It may be harder to find as I believe it to be recently out of print. Motorbooks Int. also has a title, German Tanks of World War Two in Color, that is a good collection of restored and museum tanks to give good colour details and general chassis details. And lastly for the painters there is a brand new title from the Euromoelismo people on armour finishing, weathering, and painting in the "Spanish Style" which if nothing else is inspirational photograph and painting ideas, especially for those who are fortunate enough to have access to an airbrush. Again it is a new title that the folks at HTU should be able to get in fairly soon.
